Energy Futures—Crude oil futures for April climbed higher by 88 cents to close around $107.46 a barrel in active trade in New York today while heating oil futures finished practically unchanged for the day finishing at 3.27 a gallon.

Soybean Prices Hit New Highs; Corn & Wheat Higher

Grain Futures-- A wild trading session in the grain market today with soybeans finishing unchanged at 13.38 a bushel while twice climbing as high as 13.55 a bushel up $.16 cents at one point before selling off to finish unchanged while corn prices finished up seven cents to close at 643.2 a bushel in active trade in Chicago this afternoon.

Precious Metals Higher Despite A Soaring Dollar

Precious Metal Futures-- the precious metals today rallied after early a sharp selloff in gold and silver due to a strengthening dollar, but reversed to rally sharply higher for the day with gold finishing up $13 dollars at $1,712 an ounce with silver reversing a $.70 loss in early trading only to rally up $.43 cents to finish at $34.25 an ounce in heavy trade.

Crude Oil Higher;Products Mixed

The energy sector is mixed in early trade today with crude oil higher by $1.25 currently trading around 107.85 in the April contract while heating oil is slightly lower by 50 points to trade around 3.2650 a gallon. Unleaded gasoline is higher by 150 points trading at 3.3260 a gallon and hovering around contract highs once again.

Soybeans Up 15 Cents To New Contract Highs; Corn & Wheat Sharply Higher

The grains have climbed higher in early trading with soybeans up another 15 cents to trade around 13.53 a bushel in heavy volume while corn is also rallying for the first time this week soaring 16 cents on huge short covering and currently trading around 6.50 a bushel. Wheat futures are higher by 13 cents trading at 6.46 a bushel. The commodty markets are higher today with energies, metals, and the grain market all trading higher today.

Was The Crop Report Bullish?

The Supply/Demand report for the 2nd month in a row was very neutral report today with very little change in estimates; however the soybeans are called 5 to 15 cents higher while wheat and corn are called steady. The corn was perceived mildly bearish as USDA left ending stocks unchanged at 801 million bushels while traders were looking for a slight decline..

Job Report Add 233,000 Jobs; Rate 8.3%

The jobs report today showed that 233k thousand jobs were added in the month of February while also raising Januarys jobs by another 40k showing that the economy is  improving at a solid pace.The bond market is lower by 20/32 which is a pretty small move and the S&P is up only 1 points reflecting a neutral report this morning.

Grains Higher In Night Session

The soybean market tonight is higher by two cents while corn is also higher by two cents in light trade before tomorrow 7:30 USDA crop report which will definitely have a huge impact on the prices on the open. Wheat futures were also higher by four cents in a quiet trade , probably with limited action tonight, however should have huge volatility on the open at 9:30am ct.
