I Remain Bearish The 10 Year Note

in Bitcoin, Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

10 Year Note Futures---The 10 year note in the March contract is trading lower by 2 points at 122/30 as I've been recommending a bearish position over the last month from around the 123/24 level and then recommending another short position when prices broke the 123/12 level a couple of days back & if you took those trades continue to place the stop loss above the 10 day high at 124/02, however the chart structure will start to improve in tomorrow

What Is A Triple Bottom ? Look At Oats

in Bitcoin, Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

What Is A Triple Bottom Chart Pattern ? A pattern used in technical analysis to predict the reversal of a prolonged downtrend. The pattern is identified when the price of commoditiy creates 3 sell offs at nearly the same price level. The third bounce off the support is an indication that buying interest (demand) is outweighing selling interest (supply) and that the trend is in the process of reversing.

When Should You Enter Into A Trade ?

in Bitcoin, Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

When Should You Enter Into A Trade ? I have been asked this question many times throughout my career and my opinion is simply to buy on a 20-25 day high breakout in price on a closing basis only or sell on a 20-25 day low breakout to the downside also on a closing basis.

How Low Is The 10 Year Note Headed ?

in Bitcoin, Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

10 Year Note Futures---The 10 year note in the March contract has traded lower for the 4th consecutive session breaking major support at the 123/12 level as I have been recommending to sell more if that level was broken as that occurred in today's trade as prices finished down another 15 ticks to close around the 123/00 level right near a 5 year low.

10 Year Note At Critical Support

in Bitcoin, Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

10 Year Note Futures---The 10 year note in the March contract is lower by 1 tick at 123/15 in a very quiet Monday afternoon in Chicago as I have been recommending a bearish position from around the 123/24 level and if you took the trade the stop loss now has been lowered to 124/03 as the chart structure is outstanding at the present time due to such incredibly low volatility.

What Is A Head & Shoulders Chart Pattern ?

in Bitcoin, Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

Head and Shoulders Top or Bottom---This technical indicator consists of a left shoulder, a head, and a right shoulder and a line drawn as the neckline and occur in many different daily charts over the course of time. The left shoulder is formed at the end of an extensive move during which volume is noticeably high.

10 Year Note Futures---The 10 year note in the March contract settled last Friday in Chicago at 124/01 while currently trading at 123/16 looking to retest the contract low around 123/12 which was hit on December 21st as I have been recommending a bearish position from around the 123/24 level and if you took the trade continue to place the stop loss at the 125/00 area.

Why Are Consolidations Important ? Look At Cotton & Corn

in Bitcoin, Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

There are different theories about how long does a meaningful consolidation has to last before you enter a trade ? In my opinion I always want to see a consolidation that lasts at least 8 or more weeks before I would consider entering.

Bonds Lower As The Dow Hits 25,000

in Bitcoin, Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

10 Year Note Futures---The 10 year note in the March contract is lower by 10 ticks currently trading at 123/16 continuing its bearish trend as it looks like the Dow Jones Industrial Average is going to touch 25,000 today as that trend continues to roll as I think that will be a negative influence on bond yields in 2018.
