Orange Juice Futures--- Orange juice futures were higher today for the 2nd consecutive trading session after last Friday's collapse, however today closed up 150 points settling at 108.50 in the July contract blamed on profit-taking and bargain hunters down at these relatively low levels in the last several years also due to the fact of extreme and I do mean extreme oversold conditions.

When Do You Finally Exit A Trade? Take A Look At The Orange Juice Chart

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity broker, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures broker, futures trading, lumber futures, Michael Seery, milk futures, option broker, orange juice futures, Seery Futures LLC, soft commodities, sugar futures

WHEN DO YOU EXIT A TRADE ?-- The biggest question that I have been asked is when do I exit a winning trade and when do I exit a losing trade? In my opinion the rule of thumb that I use is placing my stop loss at the 10 day high if I am short or a 10 day low if I am long. The other rule of thumb is to place your stop loss at the 2% maximum loss allowed in your account for any given trade.

Cotton Futures--- Cotton futures this morning are locked limit down 300 points marking fresh contract lows once again in the December contract which is considered the new crop which we harvested this fall currently trading at 71.57 a bale which is as low it can trade today because the exchange creates a 300 point maximum loss or gain on any given day but what this does it sets up further losses on the open in tomorrow's trading session.

Coffee Plummets 400 Points On Close; Re-Test Lows

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity broker, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures broker, futures trading, lumber futures, Michael Seery, milk futures, option broker, orange juice futures, Seery Futures LLC, soft commodities, sugar futures

Coffee Futures--- Coffee futures today plummeted late in the trading session closing lower by 400 points to re test contract lows once again and selling off more than 600 points from session highs. Tomorrow could be the day that coffee prices break out of this narrow trading range due to the fact of large sell orders that entered on the close causing a sell off on the close which in my opinion means a weak opening the next trading day.
