Coffee Plummets 500 Points

Coffee Futures-- Coffee futures are retesting the lower end of the trading range in the last 4 weeks with contract lows at 177.30 a pound and breaking through that level on the daily chart would probably mean the continuation of the bear market, today coffee finished 450 points lower to close at 179.70 right near the lows of the trading session and right above contract lows.

Sugar Prices Hit 4 Week Low

Sugar Futures-- Sugar futures are hitting a fresh four week low this morning down 55 points in the May contract currently at 23.68 a pound with the next support all the way down at 23.20 continuing its bearish momentum today with many of the other commodity markets and stock markets as QE3 has suddenly faded into thin air.

Cocoa Futures-- Cocoa futures rallied in the July contract finishing up 40 points today in sympathy with the rest of the commodity sectors which surged on the weak dollar versus the foreign currencies plus a rumour of QE3 being initiated later in the summer propping up stock and commodity prices.

Coffee Futures---- Coffee futures this morning are extremely quiet with the May contract basically unchanged trading at 180.35 a pound still stuck within a very tight trading range in the last 4 weeks and  looking for new fundamental news to be able to propel prices to the upside possibly forming a bottom.

Orange Juice Futures--- Orange juice futures this morning are trading in positive territory for the first time in 11 days with the May contract up over 400 points currently trading at 146.00 in what traders believe is probably just a dead cat bounce or a knee-jerk reaction after prices have just been crushed in the last couple of trading sessions.

Have Lumber Prices Bottomed?

 Lumber Futures--- Lumber futures this afternoon sold off 200 points reversing last weeks gains to settle at 263.40 per board feet. Lumber prices may have an inverted head and shoulders pattern which states that the lows are in if you look at the one shoulder five months ago and the head three months ago and the last shoulder just a couple of days ago  could be a buying opportunity in the lumber market at this time.

Milk Prices Plunge Today !

Milk Futures--- Milk futures got crushed this afternoon in Chicago down 48 points to close at 14.82 in a volatile trading session reversing all of last week's gains which had created a five week high blamed on pessimism or bearish momentum in the commodity sectors.

Sugar Prices Higher

Sugar Futures--- Sugar futures for the May contract finished up only 10 points today in a very lack lustre trade in New York closing at 23.95 a pound after yesterday sharp selloff creating a three week low. Sugar futures are right on the upward trend line and if today's lows are broken the trend line will also be broken which will most likely put sugar prices into a bear market like the rest of the soft commodities.

Coffee Futures--- Coffee futures traded in a very quiet range today finishing up around 200 points settling at 180.65 in the May contract still stuck in a tight trading range of 175 – 190 for the last four weeks looking for new fundamental news to break out of this range.
