When Should You Enter Into A Trade ?

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

When Should You Enter Into A Trade ? I have been asked this question many times throughout my career and my opinion is simply to buy on a 20-25 day high breakout in price on a closing basis only or sell on a 20-25 day low breakout to the downside also on a closing basis. Many times the price will break the 25 day high and sell off later in the day only to have your trade be negative very quickly.

Excellent Risk Management Rule !

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

What Does Risk Management Mean To You? I generally tell people that the reason people lose money in commodities is not due to the fact that they are bad at predicting where prices are headed, however they are bad when it comes to losing trades and refusing to take a loss which results for heavy monetary losses that are difficult to come back from.

Mexican Peso Futures--- The Mexican Peso in the December contract is lower by 24 points currently trading at 5185 retesting lows that we haven't sent since June as the momentum to the downside is accelerating on a daily basis in my opinion.
