Precious Metal Futures---The precious metals this morning are getting hammered once again on European concerns especially in Spain where the stock market has fallen out of bed and the interest rates on the 10 year note are sky rocketing back to crisis levels with gold selling off another $19 dollars currently trading very early in the morning at $1, 586 an ounce breaking major support looking all the way back down to $1,500 an ounce in my opinion v

When Do You Finally Exit A Trade? Look At Soybean Chart Today

in Blog, chart reading, commodity broker, commodity rules, commodity trading, Free 1 On 1 Consultation With Michael Seery, futures broker, Michael Seery, options broker, paper trading commodities, Seery Futures LLC, simulated trading

WHEN DO YOU EXIT A TRADE ?-- The biggest question that I have been asked is when do I exit a winning trade and when do I exit a losing trade? The rule of thumb that I use is placing my stop loss at the 10 day high if I am short or a 10 day low if I am long. The other rule of thumb is to place your stop loss at the 2% maximum loss allowed in your account for any given trade.

When Do You Add To Your Winning Trade? Look A Look At Orange Juice Chart

in Blog, chart reading, commodity broker, commodity rules, commodity trading, Free 1 On 1 Consultation With Michael Seery, futures broker, Michael Seery, options broker, paper trading commodities, Seery Futures LLC, simulated trading

When Do You Add To Your Winning Trade? This has always been a very interesting question because it can create a situation of going from rags to riches to riches to rags in a very short amount of time. Many times I see traders abuse pyramiding or adding to positions with utter lack of any type of money management system in place and letting it ride which usually ends up in a complete wipeout of capital and sometimes even worse.

Cocoa Prices Lower By 26 Points Today

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity broker, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures broker, futures trading, lumber futures, Michael Seery, milk futures, option broker, orange juice futures, Seery Futures LLC, soft commodities, sugar futures

Cocoa Futures-- Cocoa futures today closed lower by only 26 points to close at 2331 still near 4 week highs which has been very difficult to say in the soft commodities in recent months due to the fact of generally oversupplied markets with a lack of demand causing prices to head lower , however cocoa prices double bottomed four weeks ago around 2, 050 and since that point have rallied to close on the higher end of the trading range, however I am s

Lumber Prices Down Slightly Today

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity broker, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures broker, futures trading, lumber futures, Michael Seery, milk futures, option broker, orange juice futures, Seery Futures LLC, soft commodities, sugar futures

Lumber Futures--- Lumber futures in Chicago traded very quiet today finishing only down 100 points closing at 280.00 per board. Lumber futures for the July contract are still hovering right near contract highs and the upper end of the trading range and in my opinion I believe lumber prices are overpriced due to a soft housing market and in my opinion the soft economic recovery.
