Gold & Silver Plummet In Price Today

 Precious Metals-- The precious metals sector was absolutely clobbered today with silver leading the way down plunging more than a $1.50 to close around $32.15 an ounce and breaking support at $33 dollars and now looking at the next level of support around $30 dollars an ounce while gold futures plummeted down $52 dollars for the April contract to close at 1,642.8 an ounce and making an 8 week low with the next support in gold futures

Gold & Silver Lower In Early Trade

The precious metals today opened lower with gold leading the way down almost $14 dollars to trade around 1,688 an ounce in heavy volume in New York while silver futures have reversed early gains and are now trading lower by $.15 trading around 33.26 an ounce and off by $.60 from early morning highs. Platinum futures were slightly lower only down three dollars at 1,692 an ounce while Palladium futures are down six dollars at 698 in light trade today.

Gold & Silver Lower On Profit Taking

 Precious Metal Futures-- Gold futures today led the precious metals lower finishing down by $11 dollars to finish right at $1,700 dollars an ounce while silver futures finished down $.60 cents to close around $33.50 an ounce while copper futures were very quiet finishing down 200 points to finish at 3.84 a pound in light trading in New York today.

Gold & Silver Continue Bullish Momentum 1-27-12

Metal Futures—Gold futures rallied again today giving the bulls the upper hand once again since the Federal Reserve has opened up their purse strings to push the U.S Dollar lower against most currencies. Silver futures traded in a 70 cent range which is pretty quiet day for this precious metal going into the weekend ending nearly unchanged at 33.80 an ounce with gold closing up another 9 dollars to close around 1,737 an ounce. Copper futures also continue to hold strength on improving economic conditions worldwide held steady at around 3.90 a pound.
