The grain market opened sharply higher this morning on concerns of record temperatures across the Mid West again today with soybeans ripping to new contract highs once again today climbing over 17 cents to trade around 13.65 a bushel while corn futures have broken out to a 10 week high climbing another 12 cents and currently trading around 6.62 a bushel.
Grain Futures-- A quiet day in the grain markets today with soybeans and soymeal slightly higher for the trading session while corn and wheat stubble towards the close finishing lower in active trade in Chicago today.
Grain Futures-- A mixed trading day the grain market today with soybeans hitting contract highs again up another $.14 cents for the May contract closing at 13.49 a bushel and new closing highs for the move while soybean meal which is been the leader in the complex was up another four dollars to close at 366.1 a pound in heavy volume.
The grains have climbed higher in early trading with soybeans up another 15 cents to trade around 13.53 a bushel in heavy volume while corn is also rallying for the first time this week soaring 16 cents on huge short covering and currently trading around 6.50 a bushel. Wheat futures are higher by 13 cents trading at 6.46 a bushel. The commodty markets are higher today with energies, metals, and the grain market all trading higher today.
The Supply/Demand report for the 2nd month in a row was very neutral report today with very little change in estimates; however the soybeans are called 5 to 15 cents higher while wheat and corn are called steady. The corn was perceived mildly bearish as USDA left ending stocks unchanged at 801 million bushels while traders were looking for a slight decline..
The grain market sold off sharply today with May wheat down $.19 cents to finish at 6.38 a bushel in heavy volume while corn futures for the May delivery ended down $.15 cents to close around 6.39 a bushel pressuring the soybean market to finish down eight cents in the May contract closing around 13.27 a bushel today.
The Grain market was mixed today with wheat finishing 15 cents lower $6.57 a bushel in the May contract with corn futures for May 9 cents at $6.52 a bushel however the soybeans and the soybean meal continue their bullish run with soybeans finishing10 cents higher 13.35 a bushel and a new contract high in the May contract also soymeal is hitting new contract highs at 363.40 up over seven dollars and showing real strength when the commodity sectors today were pummeled to the
The grain market tonight is trading lower on the night session with soybeans for the May delivery down three cents at $13.22 a bushel while corn futures for the May delivery are down five cents at 6.56 a bushel in light trade in Chicago. Corn futures broke out above the 6.60 resistance level this afternoon, however were not able to hold the gains on the night session falling back down to the 6.56 basically mid range in the last couple of weeks in the corn market.
