Oat Futures--- Mr. Ed the famous horse is very happy today as I'm am now recommending a bullish position in oats at the 2.60 level and if you took this trade continue to place the stop loss under the 2 week low standing at 2.45 as the risk is around $0.15 or $750 per contract plus slippage and commission as prices have now hit a 5 week high.

Corn Futures--- Corn futures in the March contract are trading higher for the 2nd consecutive session up 3 cents at 3.51 a bushel as I am looking at a possible bullish position if prices break 3.55 on a closing basis and if that does occur I will place my stop under the 2 week low which is also the contract low of 3.45 as the risk would be $0.10 or $500 plus slippage & commission.

Is That A Triple Bottom In Oats ?

in Blog, commodity consulting, commodity trading, corn, futures, Mike Seery, oats, option trading, seeryfutures, soybean meal, soybean oil, soybeans, wheat

Oat Futures--- Oat futures in the March contract finished up 2 cents at 2.51 a bushel right near a 3 week high as I have not traded this commodity for quite some time, but it looks to me that a possible triple bottom may have been formed around the 2.40 level as I will be looking at a bullish position if prices break the 5 week high of 2.57 as the chart structure will start to improve on a daily basis therefore lowering the monetary risk.
