Coffee Futures--- Coffee futures today in the July contract rose almost 350 points to close at 179 a pound climbing off of recent contract lows and might be forming a short term bottom at this point, however the trend in coffee has been sharply lower for several months so I'm not going to put too much emphasis on a one-day rally when most the commodity sectors and stock markets around the world were all higher today.

Orange Juice Futures--- Orange juice futures this afternoon settled up 340 points to close around 150.00 in the May contract in a very lack luster trade in New York today rebounding slightly from the price destruction and the last four weeks on concerns of a huge supply and lack of demand.

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity broker, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures broker, futures trading, lumber futures, Michael Seery, milk futures, option broker, orange juice futures, Seery Futures LLC, soft commodities, sugar futures

Cocoa Futures--- Cocoa futures this morning in the May contract are down 45 points currently trading at 2, 255 reversing some of this week’s sharp gains to the upside, however cocoa still remains underneath the long term trend line and with the bearishness and all of the other soft commodities I believe this week's rally was a false rally and prices will come back down to 2, 050 level in the next week or so.

How Low Are Sugar Prices Headed?

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity broker, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures broker, futures trading, lumber futures, Michael Seery, milk futures, option broker, orange juice futures, Seery Futures LLC, soft commodities, sugar futures

Sugar Futures--- Sugar Futures extended this week's losses today by adding another 16 points to the downside hitting a fresh seven-month low settling around 21.85 a pound. Sugar is following crude oil and corn prices to the downside since they're all used as a bio diesel due to lack of demand and downward pressure generally in many of the commodity sectors.
