Mexican Peso Sharply Lower

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

Mexican Peso Futures--- The Mexican Peso in the December contract finished down 70 points to close around 5345 as I have been recommending a short position from around the 5422 level & if you took the trade place the stop loss at the 10 day high at 5561 & in Monday's trade that will be lowered down to 5520 as the chart structure will start to improve on a daily basis therefore lowering the monetary risk.

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

Mexican Peso Futures--- The Mexican Peso in the December contract is currently trading lower by 6 points in a very quiet trading session as I recommended a bearish position from around 5422 as we are currently trading at 5416 & if you took the trade place the stop loss above the 10 day high which now stands at 5567 as the chart structure will start to improve on a daily basis therefore lowering the monetary risk which currently stands around $80

Mexican Peso Looks Interesting

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

Mexican Peso Futures--- The Mexican Peso currency is currently down 3 points at 5422 as I'm now recommending a short position as prices have hit an 11 week low while placing the stop at the 10 day high of 55.95 risking around $900 per contract plus slippage & commission as it looks to me that a double top around the 56 level has occurred.

What Is A Rounding Top Chart Pattern ?

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

What Is A Rounding Top Chart Pattern ? A chart pattern used in technical analysis which is identified by price movements that, when graphed, form the shape of an upside down "U". A rounding top may form at the end of an extended upward trend and indicates a reversal in the long-term price movement.

The pattern can develop over several weeks, months or even years, and is considered a rare occurrence by many traders.

What Is A Double Top Chart Pattern ?

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

Double Top ---The double-top pattern is found at the peaks of an upward trend and is a clear signal that the preceding upward trend is weakening and that buyers are losing interest. Upon completion of this pattern, the trend is considered to be reversed and the security is expected to move lower.

Silver Prices Near A 6 Week Low

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

Silver Futures--- Silver futures in the December contract are trading lower for the 2nd consecutive session down 4 cents at 16.83 an ounce near a 6 week low as this market has been very choppy in 2017 as I am currently sitting on the sidelines waiting for some type of bullish position to enter as I will not take a short trade as I think the downside is very limited at the present time.

Trading Theory---My next rule is extremely important and I witness it being abused constantly creating tremendous loses that are sometimes difficult to come back from.

When Do You Add Positions To Your Winning Trade?

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

When Do You Add To Your Winning Trade?  This has always been a very interesting question because it can create a situation of going from rags to riches to riches to rags in a very short amount of time. Many times I see traders abuse pyramiding or adding to positions with utter lack of any type of money management system in place and letting it ride which usually ends up in a complete wipeout of capital and sometimes even worse.

What Is The RSI Oscillator ?

in Blog, Bonds, commodities, currencies, futures trading, Mike Seery

TRADING THEORY---The RSI oscillator ranges from 0 to 100 and when a commodity is deemed to be at overbought levels when the RSI approaches the 70 level and beyond meaning if the oscillator has an overbought condition of 92 that is higher and even more of an overbought condition then the 70 level and could mean that its getting overvalued and is a good candidate for a short term pullback.
