Cotton & Rest Of The Softs Lower Today

Soft Commodities-- The soft commodities were all lower across the board this afternoon with cotton for the May delivery down 48 points to close at 92.64 blamed on profit taking after the recent rally in the last two weeks while orange juice finished down .70 points in the May contract to close around 161.55 in a really narrow trading range.

Soybeans Make Contract Highs But Sell Off Late; Wheat & Corn Higher

 Grain Futures--- The grain market saw a wild trading session today especially in soybean futures for the May delivery closing lower by 4 cents at 14.17 a bushel, however higher earlier in the day hitting new contract highs up $.14 cents and traded as high as 14.34 in heavy volume in Chicago.

Gold Plummets $25 Dollars In After Hours Trading

Gold & Copper Lower; Silver Higher

 Precious Metal Futures-- The precious metals today were mixed in a quiet trade in New York today with gold closing near the lows of the day finishing down $8 dollars to close at 1,672 an ounce while silver futures for the May delivery finished higher by $.10 cents to close around $33.20 an ounce in a quiet trade this Monday afternoon.

Cattle & Hog Prices Mixed

 Meat Futures--- Quiet day in the cattle markets today in Chicago with live cattle unchanged for the April contract at 120.87 a pound with feeder cattle up slightly at 150.25 a pound higher by 72 points for the day.

Milk Futures Hit 6 Week High

 Milk Futures--- Milk futures are trading at a 6 week high today up 2 points at 15.82 in light trade in Chicago. Milk futures for the May delivery of rallied 160 points from their March 5th low of 14.20 which is looking more like a spike bottom on the daily chart.

 Grain Futures--- The grain futures today opened mixed with corn for the May delivery up 5 cents currently trading at 6.60 a bushel higher for the 3rd consecutive day off of Fridays USDA crop report while soybeans are taking a breather this morning only down two cents at 14.19 a bushel.

Precious Metals Slightly Lower On Open

 Precious Metal Futures-- The precious metals are slightly lower across the board in early trade in New York today with gold down only $1 dollar at 1,678.3 an ounce while silver futures are lower by $.22 cents for the May contract currently trading at 32.88 an ounce in light trade.

Have Coffee Prices Double Bottomed?

Coffee Futures---  Coffee futures today rallied with all the other commodities sectors as well rising 375 points in the May contract to finish at 186.20 a pound with a possible double bottom formed in the last week. Coffee futures have rallied from a low of 175 a pound which happened twice in the same week only to retest three weeks highs at 187 a pound which could happen in tomorrow's trading session.

Have Cotton Prices Bottomed?

 Cotton Futures-- Cotton futures traded in a narrow range today in New York with the May delivery down $.40 points closing around 93.20 a bale while the new crop cotton for December delivery was down 25 points closing right around 90.85 a bale in very light trade.
