Volatility Is Coming Back Into Gold

Gold Futures--- Gold futures are trading slightly higher for the 2nd consecutive session reversing sharp losses that we experienced in Mondays trade as I have been recommending a bullish position from around the 1,292 level while continuing to place the stop loss under the 10 day low which stands at 1,269 as the chart structure will not improve for another 4 trading sessions.

Chart Structure In Sugar Is Excellent

Sugar Futures--- Sugar futures in the March contract are trading higher by 10 points at 14.98 a pound as I have been recommending a bullish position with an average price of around 14.74 if you took that trade the stop loss has now been raised to yesterday's low at 14.73 as the chart structure is outstanding, however the stop loss will not be raised for another 9 trading sessions so you will have to accept the monetary risk at this time.

Where Are Platinum Prices Going ?

Platinum Futures---Platinum futures in the January contract is trading higher by $13 currently at $936 an ounce as I am now recommending a bullish position and if you take the trade place the stop loss under yesterday's low at $921 risking $15 or $750 per contract plus slippage & commission as the chart structure is outstanding at the present time especially for such a volatile commodity.

Sugar Prices Down 39 Points

Sugar Futures--- Sugar futures in the March contract finished down 39 points at 14.98 a pound starting the week off on a negative note as many of the soft commodities except for cotton were lower in today's trade.

Corn Prices Higher 2nd Day In A Row

Corn Futures--- There must be a God in my opinion as corn has traded higher for the 2nd consecutive session for the 1st time in about a month as I've talked about this market on multiple occasions I do think the downside is limited, but I also think the upside is limited for the rest of 2018.

Cotton Prices Higher 4th Day In A Row

Cotton Futures--- Cotton futures in the March contract is trading higher for the 4th consecutive session up 116 points currently trading at 70.50 as I will be recommending a bullish position if prices close above 69.67 while then placing the stop loss under the 2 week low standing at 68.34 as the risk right now is around $1,100 per contract plus slippage and commission.

Are Moving Averages Important ?

How Can You Use Moving Averages To Your Advantage? A simple moving average is calculated by adding the closing price of a commodity such as crude oil for a number of time periods and then dividing this total by the number of time periods.

Short-term averages respond quickly to changes in the price of the underlying commodity, while long-term averages are slower to react.
