Corn Higher;Wheat & Soybeans Lower

A quiet day in the grains today as soybeans took a breather from recent highs down 8 cents settling around $13.24 a bushel in the May contract while corn has rallied and has broken out above that 6.60 resistance level settling at 6.61 a bushel higher by 6 cents in heavy trade in Chicago. I believe there was profit taking today in the soybean complex after a series of higher closes over the last 3 weeks.

Mixed Trading Session For Grains

A mixed day in the grain market today as soybeans are taking a breather from recent highs down four cents currently trading around $13.29 a bushel in the May contract while corn has rallied and breaking out above that 6.60 resistance level currently trading at 6.62 a bushel higher by seven cents in heavy trade in Chicago.

Will Soybeans Go To All Time Highs?

Soybean futures continue to go surge higher despite the fact that most of the commodity sectors such as gold, silver, and the energies sold off sharply today but the soybeans are very resilient and rallied to make new highs on the close finishing up by 10 more cents at 13.32 a bushel which also makes new contract highs.

How High Can Soybean Prices Go?

A quiet trading day for the grains with corn futures down 4 cents to close around 6.54 a bushel and still  unable to break out above strong resistance at 6.60 a bushel. Wheat futures were down only 4 cents at 6.64 a bushel while the soybeans continue to grind higher finishing up only 2 cents to close around 13.22 a bushel in a very light trading session.

Soybeans Higher;Corn & Wheat Mixed

Volatile day in the corn market today after trading on both sides of unchanged throughout the trading session finishing higher by 1 cent to close around 6.42 a bushel while wheat futures were lower all afternoon closing lower by 3 cents to close around 6.41 a bushel .

Wheat & Corn Higher; Soybeans Steady

 The grain sector rallied into the close with wheat futures for March delivery higher by 9 cents to close around 6.42 a bushel but still stuck in a trading range. Corn futures rallied 8 cents to close around 6.41 a bushel with solid support around the 6.30 level in the May contract. The leader of the grains is the soybean complex which was lower today by 3 cents blamed on spreading with the other grains.

Soybeans Lower On Profit Taking

Soybean futures for May delivery are slightly lower at 12.72 a bushel down 5 cents while corn, wheat, and oats are all basically unchanged for the day in light trading. Rough Rice is higher by 10 cents in quiet trade in Chicago. I think soybeans are still in abull market and will continue to climb going into spring planting which starts in April in the southern United States.

How High Can Soybean Prices Climb?

 Soybean futures continue to show strength rallying just 4 cents to close around 12.79 a bushel while corn and wheat continue to look very weak going in opposite directions from the soybean complex. Wheat futures were sharply lower all day today finishing lower by more than 13 cents to close around 6.30 a bushel continuing its bearish momentum.

How High Can Soybeans Prices Go?

 Soybean futures continue to grind higher climbing 9 cents to close around 12.67 in the March contract. Soybean oil hit fresh 4 months highs today climbing to 53.45 up about 40 points for the day. Soybean oil is used as a biodiesel and with unleaded gasoline and crude oil making new highs it could push soybean oil to new highs as well.
