Bond Futures-- The bond market hit fresh all-time lows in yield once again today with new lows in the 5-year and 10 year notes with the five-year note yielding 0.72% while the 10 year note yield 1.78% is all-time lows. The S&P 500 is down 8 points on bad news about the European debt problem causing investors to seek cover and buy treasuries.

How Low Are Bond Yields Going ?

 Bond Futures-- The bond market is hitting fresh all-time lows in yield once again today with new lows in the 5-year and 10 year notes with the five-year note yielding 0.76% while the 10 year note yield 1.81% is near all-time lows. The 30 year bond is higher by 20 points today in the June contract currently trading at 144 – 31 with the yield of 3.00% which is not an all-time low but closing in very quickly.

 Bond Futures-- The bond market was pretty quiet this morning with the yields hitting an all-time intraday low in the 5-year and 10 year notes before settling unchanged for the trading session with the five-year note yielding  0.79% while the 10 year note yield 1.83% is near all-time lows.

Bond Futures-- The bond market rallied once again this morning in Chicago climbing right near all-time highs in the bond futures and all-time lows in the bond yields with the 10 year note yielding 1.95% with the record low just the eyelash away at 1.83% while the five-year note is at 0.85% with the record low of 0.82% which might be broken later in the week. What is the bond market telling us?

Bond Futures-- Bond futures this morning in Chicago were sharply higher across the board with the 30 year bond higher by 1.06 lowering the yield down to 3.13% while the 10 year note is up 16/32 trading at 131.14 with a yield below 2% currently at 1.99% and anticipating action from the Federal Reserve is the main reason why bond yields have plummeted in the last three weeks right near all-time historical lows.
