Precious Metals Higher Despite A Soaring Dollar

Precious Metal Futures-- the precious metals today rallied after early a sharp selloff in gold and silver due to a strengthening dollar, but reversed to rally sharply higher for the day with gold finishing up $13 dollars at $1,712 an ounce with silver reversing a $.70 loss in early trading only to rally up $.43 cents to finish at $34.25 an ounce in heavy trade.

Gold & Silver Rally Ahead Of Unemployment Report Tomorrow

The precious metals rallied today with gold leading the way higher by $14 closing around us $1,698 an ounce while silver futures also rallied finishing higher by 25 cents closing around 33.82 ounce in an active trade. Copper futures were relatively quiet today compared to silver and gold finishing higher by 200 points to close around 378.80 a pound while platinum futures for the April contract rallied $33 dollars to close at 1660 an ounce.

Gold & Silver Trade Higher Today

The precious metals today rebounded from heavy losses in the last several days with gold leading the charge higher climbing  $11 dollars for the April contract closing around $1,683 an ounce while silver rallied as well climbing $.62 cents in the May contract closing at $33.40 an ounce in heavy volume in New York today.

Gold Futures Testing Support

The precious metals opened up slightly lower this morning with gold selling off more than $15 dollars last night however, now only down $3 dollars currently trading around $1706 an ounce with silver coming off the highs of last night and at one point being up $.45  cents but currently down five cents at $34.47 an ounce while platinum futures are also lower by $21 dollars and trading at $1671 an ounce while Palladium futures are slightly lower at 708.70.

Silver & Gold Lower On Strong Dollar

Gold futures were lower today blamed on a rising dollar for the 2nd day in a row finishing lower by $10 dollars to close around 1,713 an ounce with major support from 1697-1705 with traders keeping an eye on those levels to see if gold holds support while silver futures were sharply lower finishing down by 90 cents to close around 34.75 an ounce in a wild trading week in gold and silver.

Was Yesterday's Sell Off A Buying Opportunity in Silver & Gold?

Yesterday was a complete disaster with gold down around $100 dollars and silver prices down almost $3 dollars in very heavy volume which tells me that all the weak longs or the people who just entered the market in the last couple of days were forced out of the market with heavy losses.

Can Silver Prices Break All Time Highs?

My question to investors and traders is how high can silver prices reach and can they break that $50 barrier that was hit earlier in the year, but then sold off dramatically? I saw what silver did last year when it went from $35 dollars an ounce to $50 bucks an ounce with out hardly any dips before collapsing back down to $30 dollars.

How High Can Silver Prices Go?

The silver market rocketed higher this afternoon rallying more than $1.50 at 37.20 an ounce making another round of contract highs while gold rallied another  $16 dollars an ounce to close near 1,791 an ounce with resistance at 1,808 which could happen in tomorrow’s trading session. Copper futures also joined the party today rallying 300 points to close around 392.00 a pound with resistance at 400 which also could be penetrated later this week.

Silver Futures Hit New Contract Highs; Gold Higher

Silver futures are hitting fresh contract highs again today soaring another 60 cents in early trading trading at 36.20 in the May contract while gold futures for April are rising 10 dollars an ounce at $1,784 dollars an ounce and only a blink away from contract highs at 1.808.
